Level Works supports any and all efforts to address poor labor conditions throughout the world. Our staff are trained and accredited and we constantly seek ways to improve our performance and give the best-quality information to our clients. Our reputation for quality is demonstrated by:

  • Level Works is an accredited monitor for the Fair Labor Association (FLA)
  • Level Works is an accredited monitor for the International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) Care Process
  • Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) / Global eSustainability Initiative (GeSI)
  • Approved for Levi Strauss licensee assessments
  • Approved for Walt Disney licensee assessments
  • Approved for Phillips-Van Heusen licensee assessments
We have experience with WRAP and SA8000 and support their efforts to improve labor conditions; however, we do not seek to become certifiers on their behalf. Level Works commonly visits factories that hold such certifications, only to find their compliance levels below the expectations of the scheme by which they are certified. Suppliers circumvent the certification system through record falsification, coaching workers on interviews, and/or using bribery. These certification programs require that accredited monitors market themselves and enter into direct vendor/factory contracts that present an inherent conflict of interest. In contrast, the ICTI-CARE and FLA organizations control their own assessment process in an attempt to retain a higher level of integrity.
